Split Point

The split point represents the value where claims are split into two parts of losses. The Primary Loss is the value from 0 to some value. The norm is 15,000. Any part of the loss above the 15,000 split point is the Excess Loss. Some states have split points higher than 15,000. The Primary Loss and The Excess Loss are fed into the E-Mod formula.
