Annually, FEMA offers Flood CEUs by attending one of their online presentations for flood adjusting. Check here to register. These states allow adjuster license CEUs by attending and the sessions count as the flood requirements for each state. All these states allow for six credit hours on your license.

Double Credit? Actually, Triple Credit
As I have commented often, an adjuster needs to be flexible in their training. Let us look at how you can receive triple, yes triple credit for sitting through a six-hour live FEMA webinar. Usually, even the flood CEUs registration costs nothing – that is up to each state.
Let us say, for example that you need 3 hours of flood credit to renew your adjuster license. Six hours of credit satisfies the flood requirement. All six hours go directly to your hour’s requirement.
So, you can cover your flood hours and add six to your license – not a bad deal. Make sure that you fill out the webinar application with your license number.
Triple credit? As you know, I have always recommended that adjusters expand their knowledge base and flexibility. If you apply for a Flood Control Number of FCN (I have one) then you can also adjust FEMA flood claims. FEMA will update your FCN validity when you take the course. The deadline each year is June 30th.
Some states provide their own courses, once again – free of charge. For example, North Carolina offers a four-hour flood course. If you are an NC adjuster, check it out here.
