Yes, the new NCCI video on the 2023 data results looks ahead to 2024. Remember that Workers Comp rating data results come in a year or more after a calendar year.
The video presented by Damian England and Sandra Kipust of NCCI ranks as one of the videos to watch if you are connected to the Workers Comp world. – with a few plot twists.
An example of what you will find only in the video is that LAE (Loss Adjustment Expenses) has an interesting cycle (See 9:10 in the video). As a former claims adjuster of long ago, why would LAE follow a yearly pattern? That would be a good adjuster question.
A nice summary of the data adjustments involved with the pandemic was included in the video. As you may know any adjustment of data results in having to adjust other variables due to the original adjustment.
